Frontierland

Between Adventureland and Liberty Square you will find Frontierland. Here, you will step back in time to the Wild West. The time of gunslingers, cowboys, and the newly settled towns of the west.

This land has to be one of my favorites in the park. It has a quaint simple feel. Plus it also houses 2 of my favorite rides in the Magic Kingdom. And the beauty of it is, these attractions draw large crowds, but because the land is so large, it doesn't feel as crowded as say Tomorrowland or Fantasyland.

When originally opened in Disneyland, Frontierland had live horses and mules. But the mules would be ornery, and occationally bit the gusts. Horses pulling the stagecoaches and wagons would get spooked by the train whistles. So Disney finally decided to remove them.

The Country Bears are a great show to catch during the heat of the day.

Grab a turkey leg and a soda for a cheap meal here.

Know that when the parades are running through, if you're back by Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain, you are pretty much stuck there. This can be a good thing though, because alot of people won't be able to get over to those two rides, which accumulate very long lines during the day.
