There was once a sign in the queue that had a typo in it and was left up for over 10 years. Instead of reading "Space Mountain, it's out of this world!" it was "Space Mountain, it's out of this would!"

The cars in Space Mountain only reach a top speed of 28 miles an hour, it's the darkness that makes it seem faster. But if you go late at night, you might go a little faster because the greese on the wheels will be warmer and less viscous, allowing for faster spin

This attraction was originally going to be called Space Port and built in Disneyland, but it was first built in Walt Disney World with the name Space Mountain

The location of the loading and unloading areas causes the Alpha track to actually be 10 feet longer than it's twin for a total of 3196 feet
