Memory 151 - A Day at Epcot 2: Part 2, Sergio

Come and join us for another installment of the WDW-Memories podcast, where I try to make it possible for you relive your Walt Disney World Memories when you can't actually be there. We'll continue our new day in Epcot and catch a showing of the amazing street performer Sergio.

Let me set the stage. It's a Monday (I misspoke last time and said it was Sunday) at the end of January 2015, and my whole family has traveled to Orlando for a week vacation to celebrate my Dad's milestone birthday. The bright sunny day is starting to wane, and the earlier winds are now occasional breezes, but without the sun it is starting to cool things off. The crowds are light to moderate (a 5/10 on TouringPlans.com) but in this park that still isn't bad.

We left off last memory as we finished chatting with Crush at The Seas with Nemo and Friends and were running to catch the last set of the Voices of Liberty in the American Adventure Pavilion. However, we've already experienced this memory (see Memory 144 - The Voices of Liberty) where we took a break from our last day in Epcot to celebrate the 4th of July. So that memory really goes right here in the chronology of our day in Epcot. So instead, we'll pick back up as we have left the American Adventure rotunda, and are making our way around the Promenade looking for something fun to do. We don't have a real agenda since the rest of my family will be joining us in Epcot later this week, and we don't want to do everything or stand in long lines today. So instead, we're just enjoying some of the simple sights and sounds, stopping where we want to see what we want. It's a very refreshing way to tour Epcot if you ever get the chance.

After a quick bathroom break, we'll realize that Sergio is about to come out in the Italy Pavilion, and he's always a fun show to catch. Sadly, this isn't a great audio podcast, but hopefully you can envision his routine in your mind and it won't be just annoying. This time, it was Mikey's turn to be in the show, as he gets selected this time to be the little guy who gets to toss the ball in the basket. He was so excited that he was able to participate this time, it's fun to let the kids be a part of the show like this. We'll continue our walk around the Promenade and stop in Germany for a pretzel, making a great stopping point to end our memory for today.

Today’s memory is in binaural, so I’d suggest putting those headphones on to fully immerse yourself in the memory.

Now sit back. Relax. Close your eyes. And come with me as we slow down some and take in what makes World Showcase so special.
