Come and join us for another installment of the WDW-Memories podcast, where I try to make it possible for you relive your Walt Disney World Memories when you can't actually be there.
I need an escape, how about you? It just seems like these past couple of weeks have been brutal, both at work and in the world in general. I want to escape to a happy place, and what better than a vacation in the happiest place on earth Walt Disney World. One of my favorite things to do while visiting the parks is to watch Fireworks. Every trip I take now to the parks ends with Fireworks if possible. If the park I’m in doesn’t have fireworks that evening, I’ll park hop somewhere just to be able to see fireworks.
This wasn’t always the case. We used to take this time during fireworks while everyone was watching to quickly run and do some attractions, but not any more. Disney does fireworks like nobody else, and I want to make sure I can catch them whenever possible.
Fantasy in the Sky is a classic Fireworks show. I love the basic Disney music used throughout the show that just transports you from your favorite movie to your favorite attraction in the park. And of course, the fireworks are second to none in true Disney fashion. Now Disney still pulls it out for special occasions such as New Years Eve, so thankfully it’s not completely forgotten.
As always, I tossed it out to social media, and got the following responses:
On Facebook, Dennis wrote:
My favorite moment was the first time I saw tinker bell fly from the castle. I was instantly 8 years old again watching the wonderful world of Disney. And I'm transported back to that time every time I see her fly.Great memory Dennis. Thank you for sharing. I’m with you, I don’t know why seeing Tinker Bell each time gives us that quick shot of joy, but I get it to. How bout you guys?
Now sit back. Relax. Close your eyes. And come with me as we escape reality to watch some fantasy fireworks in the sky.
